RATP Group is a global transportation network developer and operator, with headquarters in Paris, France. RATP operates transportation networks around the globe - most famous amongst them being the Paris Metro. RATP started working with Avatar New York in 2013, building a website for a soon-to-be-launched New York-based bus system. The result was Open Loop NY, launched in the spring of 2014.

Following the launch of Open Loop, RATP selected Avatar as their preferred North American web partner. Work soon commenced on Extrapolitan.com, a website that serves as a ticketing solution for bus transportation systems. Extrapolitan.com launched in early 2016.

Open Loop

Open Loop is a hop on, hop off bus service, operating in New York City. Its service and website set the standard for privately operated bus transportation in New York City. Unlike many competitor websites, Open Loop's website offers visitors:

• Language support - currently 6 languages
• Real-time, interactive bus route map
• Responsive mobile device support

Since launch, Open Loop has won several major web awards in the tourism and travel categories.

Extrapolitan

Extrapolitan is a global alliance of sightseeing tours, operating in the world’s most popular travel destinations, such as Paris, London, and New York. The Extrapolitan website connects sightseeing tour operators anywhere in the world to Extrapolitan's ticketing solution, thereby creating an integrated sales network of many operators on a single platform.

Ticket sales are currently supported for cities in North American, Europe, and Asia. Recently, Extrapolitan.com won "Best In Class" for Transportation at the Interactive Media Awards.
