As a followup to the recent launch of OpenTourNY.com, the responsive website designed for New York City's premier sightseeing bus tour company, Avatar New York added real-time bus location capabilities. With the addition of this functionality to the mobile website, tourists will be able to view the closest buses en-route, in real-time, on their mobile devices, including phones and tablets.

We built the platform using light-weight, robust technologies including: Drupal, Twitter Bootstrap, LeafletJS, and various web service API's. LeafletJS gave us the flexibility and low-overhead needed to provide high-performance, real-time mobile-friendly mapping capabilities, while Drupal gave our client the ability to easily manage bus routes and stops. Hosted on our reliable high-performance cloud infrastructure, the site easily scales to meet peak demand.
